Message from Board Chair
As the Board Chair of the Pakistan Association of Otago, it is my privilege to extend a warm welcome to you all. Our association is built on the foundation of diversity, inclusion, and community service, and I am honoured to lead such a dynamic and dedicated team.
Pakistan Association of Otago has a long-term strategic vision with a well-developed governance and leadership structure to deliver on our plans. I am proud of our team and, together with our esteemed Board members, executive committee, Wing leads, and dedicated volunteers, we are working tirelessly to promote our mission of fostering cultural exchange, supporting our members, and contributing to the well-being of the wider community. We believe in the power of collaboration and are committed to creating an inclusive environment that embraces diversity in all its forms.
In a short period of time, Pakistan Association of Otago has already made an impact in our communities. As we look ahead, we are focused on expanding our impact within the community. Our goal is to promote diversity, inclusivity, and mutual understanding through cultural exchanges, educational programs, and community partnerships. We also strive to provide support and assistance to our members in areas such as education, employment, and settlement, to help them successfully integrate into the local community.

Mr. Sajjad Akhtar Malik is a self-made entrepreneur who started out his journey as a Mechanical Engineer. He worked with several tech companies in New Zealand, Saudi Arabia and Turkey before realizing his passion for creating something of his own.
Mr. Sajjad is working as a Director in QCS.Otago that is among the fast-growing, dynamic and well-known leading companies that provide an integrated suite of testing solutions in the field of Non Destructive Testing, Welding Inspection, Condition Monitoring and 3rd Party Inspection through their wide range of services.
His journey started with identifying a problem in the market and finding innovative solutions to solve it. He recognized the potential of technology in solving real-world problems and set out to establish his own company that would incorporate technology into its core.
Sajjad has a degree in Mechanical engineering. He has gained extensive trainings and professional certifications from Australia, UK, USA and Saudi Arabia in Quality control, Radiation safety, Ultrasonic testing and so on. He has successfully completed a diploma in Leadership and Management from New Zealand.
As a visionary entrepreneur, Mr Sajjad believes in the power of technology to create a better future. His vision is to establish a world where technology is used to address some of the biggest challenges facing humanity, such as climate change, healthcare, and education. He believes that with the right mindset and the right tools, anything is possible.
Sajjad is passionate about giving back to the community and helping others. He is an active philanthropist and supports several non-profit organizations that work towards creating a better world for everyone. He is a community advisor and leader who has dedicated his life to improving the lives of people in his community. He believes in equality, integrity, inclusion and justice. Sajjad is among the founding members of Pakistan Association of Otago and his leadership skills, management skills and professionalism are exceptionally beneficial for the association. Having Sajjad on board as an Executive member is an absolute honour for Pakistan Association of Otago.
Abdul Saboor is a dedicated community leader with deep understanding of strategic planning, organisational development, and social responsibility. As an accomplished leader in the local electricity distribution sector, he understands the importance of sustainable and socially responsible practices in achieving organisational success.
Abdul is an active member of the executive board of the Pakistan Association of Otago. In this role, he plays a critical role in contributing to the overall governance and management of the association, setting its strategic direction, ensuring its financial stability, and overseeing day-to-day operations. Abdul’s commitment to community building is evident in his active participation in community initiatives. He collaborates closely with governing bodies to advocate for social change and promote the development of robust and resilient communities. He is recognised as a passionate and effective advocate for positive change, and his extensive experience and diverse background make him a motivated and focused individual with a strong determination to achieve positive outcomes for all.
Abdul’s leadership is grounded in his belief in the power of collaboration, innovation, transparency, and accountability. He promotes a positive organisational culture that encourages these values to ensure that the organisations he serves operate in a manner that benefits their communities.
